Crab Legs, Casinos, and the Covering of Favor

🦀✨ Crab Legs, Casinos, and the Covering of Favor ✨🦀

I had been craving crab legs for a few days. So, we took a little drive to the casino buffet…our first time ever going.

When we got there, the waitress, as we were trying to pay, kindly told us to grab a player’s card in another area, so we could get a discount.

We did.

When we returned, she not only pulled us from the back of a long line but placed us at the front… in full view of everyone else still waiting.

Then came another surprise: not just the first-timer discount, but another discount in the form of a gift card on top of that—just because.

Now hear me…

We did not go in expecting VIP treatment.

We were prepared to pay full price.

We simply walked in with humility, hungry for crab legs, and a moment to unwind. However, what met us there was not just food—it was favor.

The lesson?

When God’s favor is on your life,

it travels with you.

It does not clock out based on location.

It does not diminish based on environment.

It does not falter when others are watching.

We were not at a church service.

We were not dressed in clergy collars. We were just a pastor, a pastor’s wife, and a pastor’s daughter… walking into a casino… still carrying the covering.

Because favor is not situational.

It is spiritual.

It is not something you wear.

It is something you walk in.

Wherever you go, it shows up too.

So to the one who feels out of place, overlooked, or unsure;

God’s favor is not confined to sanctuaries and Sunday mornings.

It is on your life.

It is active and it is still opening doors, moving lines, and unlocking unexpected blessings even in places people do not expect it.
